ROB LAUFER is a singer/songwriter/instrumentalist who has been involved in every facet of the music business. Laufer has played on albums by Frank Black, Fiona Apple and many others. He released two critically acclaimed CD's in the mid ‘90's; "Swimming Lesson" on his own Eye Records, and "Wonderwood" on Discovery/SIre. His 2006 CD, "The Iron Age" contains the song "In the Frame", which was used in HP's award winning "Frames" television campaign. This year he released his latest CD, “Excruciating Bliss”. He has written songs featured in commercials sung by Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin, BB King, Peter Noone and Veruca Salt. His song Reactionary Girl was the leadoff track on Robin Zander's (Cheap Trick) 1993 solo effort (Interscope). Laufer’s songs have been featured in films and TV, including Georgia Rule, American Wedding, Max Keeble's Big Move, Scrubs, Felicity. Melrose Place, American Dreams, Young and the Restless and in the upcoming 20th Century Fox release, “Ramona and Beezus”. He has also written and produced commercial music for clients such as Sears, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Del Taco, Acura, Quaker Foods and Jet Blue. Rob was a featured vocalist at the 1999 Hollywood Bowl tribute to the Beatles with Sir George Martin. He also was a guest singer in Cheap Trick’s “Sgt. Pepper Live” show, which played at Hollywood Bowl, the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, and the Las Vegas Hilton. Recently, he sang in the film, "Survive Style 5+" . His music has been used in commercials for HP, Honda, Ford, Acura, Chevrolet, Sears, Jet Blue and featured in many films and TV shows.
